Acidic

by Katie   Jun 12, 2007

It burns, so deep inside,
willing to spill out,
to be held, to hurt out loud,
it aches to come out.

But i push it back,
I must keep this inside,
I must be strong,
I have to hold this together,

Me and only I,
this world is not my own,
I know nothing, I am nothing.
please, forgive me.

Empty and worn out,
I'm so drained of this life,
the air I breath is acidic,
it burns, so deep inside.

But I must push it back,
I must keep this inside.
for I must be strong,
stronger then I am.

- 2 years, won't you leave me yet.

Excellent job with this piece and great imagery as well. We only have ourselves at the end of the day and that's what matters most. 5/5
