Morbid Beauty

by Lithium   Jun 12, 2007

Morbid beauty, lie awake inside,
Hinder upon my darkened lips,
Seep through the cracks in my mind,
Waiting for your painted kiss,

Your glistening sun melts away my happiness,
The day you walked away,
Your gazing eyes I truly did miss,
How I wish you could have stayed,

Weakness overcomes the soul within me,
I don't want to know what the future holds,
My eyes are blind, I beg you not to see,
I won't let go, until my corpse grows old,

The years were happy long before,
When I saw what beauty did exist,
I could have become so much more,
Upon your broken fist,

While I live, I watch my innocent mistakes,
I watch the music and the love,
I watch the morbid beauty overcome my wake,
You were once my beloved.

Like others, I was drawn in by the title and now am a little lost for words. A painful yet cleansing write. Wonderful job!

I was really pulled in by the title as so many others were. The piece was extremely unique and the concepts flow was as pulling as the title. I truely enjoy your work.

Excellent write once again. Very intense emotions in this piece. Imagery excellent.

While I live, I watch my innocent mistakes,
I watch the music and the love,
I watch the morbid beauty overcome my wake,
    You were once my beloved.

    How sad.
