No man's mind

by mesolithic   Jun 12, 2007

I thought I
lost you.
But you come charging back
with your screaming attack
and army of six thousand.

Onslaught on my mind,
swirling me,
erratically,
into your sea of
contrasting emotions,
and vast oceans of confusion.

Your sea is my battlefield,
casualties haunt me,
as i stare restlessly
at your consequences:

A warm, familiar
sense of hate
that tears me apart,
piece by piece,
so you can
stick me back together,
just how you want me.

And on this ground,
dead bodies vacate the surface,
and we hopelessly struggle to get home,
we unite,
and we both agree to settle
on this no man's land
in this no man's mind.
