Disappear

by NICOLE   Jun 12, 2007

He hurt me again
An apology would come soon
A cut out heart
some cute words
and an "I love you"
He would smile nonchalant
and forget it ever happened
the blood, the bruises, the scars
I would smile and laugh at his jokes
Pretending he would change
he had to
But just as soon as it disappeared
he had my blood on his hands again
covered by the same routine
he would smile
I would laugh
and it would disappear

I hope this poem isn't a reflection of a current situation you are in...cuz if it is...get out!!...I've been there and know what it's like. Put yourself first and get away ASAP.
