I Want Us

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Jun 12, 2007

Cold eyes, cold heart
Silence tearing them apart
Love lasts as long as trust
He could hate me so
But I want Us

Holding, hoping
Little bird with a broken wing
It's a feeling I've long since known
He could hate me so
But I want Us

Every now and then I want to be
The only one in his mind
But just as his friend, it's so hard to feel
That I am his one-of-a-kind

Blanched face, torn limb
I'm the only one with him
Eyes driven with love and lust
So much for Us
So much for trust
I just want Us

Don't hope, don't scream
Losing him shatters your dreams
Don't hold on to what you thought you must
There's a boy I know
I love him so
And I want Us

*song--to the tune of 'I'm Not That Girl' from "Wicked"*
