Shattered dreams

He watched the tears fall from her chin
she saw his demon come out from within
he allowed the blood to drip from her skin
she realized she could never win

now she is walking in the pouring rain
but to her this is all the same
just cut deep into her vein
and pretend shes not in pain

simply she'll smile as she walks past
he wasn't the first she loved but the last
he thought he was different but she's the outcast
his and her dreams together ended so fast
