A dark tragedy

by The battleground in your heart   Jun 12, 2007

Time was of the essence
Death will come to pass
His mind was always tormented
And silently harassed.

The people he loved and cherished
Turned and walked away
Now here he was alone
Feeling broken & betrayed

His Time in this world nearly over
He was convinced he knew no love
He only wanted answers
But heard nothing from above

The thing he had always wanted
Gently fell from his fingertips
All he ever wanted
was her pressed against his lips

Infinite sorrow and sadness
Were all he had left of in emotions
His Depression was slowly killing him
For this was his only notion.

This man was all but silent
in his darkened plea for attention
everything was now gone
all he wanted was recognition.

His love now lay broken
Shattered about the floor
He had never had any mental peace
How could he ask for more?

He prayed to God one last time
Before he picked up the knife
Who knew that one little prayer
Could save a single life.
