You Can't Hide It

by Rachel   Jun 12, 2007

You feel your hopes soar up into the clouds
as your heart breaks in your chest.
You scream all your fears to the stars,
anything to distract you from the pain,
praying that someone will here you.
You cry your deepest sorrows
to the voice inside the television,
only getting an animated response.
You open your mouth,
and hope the rain washes away your past,
hope for change that will never happen.
All of this effort is useless,
because we all know,
you can't disguise a heart that's breaking.
