The door

by Beautifully Broken   Jun 13, 2007

I want to head for the door but I cant
Too many things have been said
To much of the truth revealed

I need to walk threw that door
But you pull me back
Holding me close

Looking back at the door
I was finally brave enough
To walk threw it

Now you whisper sweet nothings in my ear
Knowing I can not reject you
Knowing I will melt in to your arms

Those sweet nothings
Leave a bitter taste in my mouth
A taste nothing can get rid of

You make promises
Ones that draws me closer to you
Promises that give me hope

Yet all I see is broken promises
Broken promise causing me to push you away
Promises that steal my hope

Take a deep breath I look towards the door
As you try to hold me back
My last chance to get away from you

Am I going to take it?
Or is my love for you too strong to let me leave?
Am I strong enough to live without you?

Pushing you away,
Making it out the door,
Breathing the fresh air for the first time in awhile

Not looking back
Unable to change the past
Gone are the days of yesterday

A whole knew being, One I struggled to get
But I still love you and I will always
But I need to move on, this is my good bye my love *kiss*
