Red Paint

by Corruption   Jun 13, 2007

The anger
the flash of frustration
I take a knife
I stab the wall,
stab the wall
stab the wall
letting all my anger out
and I cut through the plaster
to my amazement
the paint drips
not the colour my wall is
not grey...
But red
I clear my head of anger
and look at the wall
I see no holes
my eyes are drawn down
down to my chest
and I see the paint
the red paint

I really like this one I think it makes you think twice about what you are writting about and when you finally read it with an open mind you totally get the whole thing. Muah talk to you later.

In effect, this piece reminded me about a certain individual (i.e. Dorian Gray...), whose soul he'd sold to the devil, trying to break the 'curse' by stabbing an object with a dagger. I further sensed the need for coherent details, though. Nonetheless, it never failed to get my attention and interest into it. Interestingly captivating on my part to say the least. Nice job. --Debbie.
