Up Against The Wall

by Beautiful Chaos   Jun 13, 2007

Up against the wall,
You've pushed me way too far,
I'm never giving in,
I don't care who you are.

If you loved me just an ounce,
You'd let me go right now,
Before it goes much further,
Turn and take your bow.

Exit from this stage,
This act left with the sun,
We can't hold onto nothing,
The hurt can't be undone.

I know we're all we know,
But the poison runs too deep,
You're tainted in my eyes,
There's nothing left to keep.

Memories are all I'll hold,
The love has faded out,
Too many times you tore me down,
And filled me up with doubt.

My heart breaks with every step,
But I have to turn away,
If I don't, I know I'll come,
To hate you more each day.

That's the thing about human nature. We can turn love into hate, hate into love.... we love to hate things and hate to love others.

    'Exit from this stage,
This act left with the sun,'

That sounded like you were trying to hard to be poetic and creative. Let your pen guide you to the right words rather than you guide the pen.
