I Remember

As I gaze into the night sky, I remember the love we once had.

I remember when you would gaze into my eyes and whipser "I love you." Now there is only the whisper of the wind. Oh how lonely it sounds.

I remember when it was your arms that held me tight. And how your hand would always find mine. Instead the air ingulfs me and there is no escape.

I remember how we had plans of marriage, children, and old age. But now you tell me that it was only my dreams, not yours.

I remember the perposal, the night that you said how you wanted me to be in your bed and by your side forever.

But I also remember how you left me. How you said you take everything back, how that boy under the stars was mistaken.

I remember how my heart fell into a million pieces that night. I remember how nothing was ever the same after that night.

All of a sudden, I see a shooting star. I make a wish that one day my heart will be full again.
