A betting problem

I just made another huge bet
That I’m pretty sure I’m gonna regret
I bet 50 bucks
I made the bet with that kid Chuck
That I could swallow an entire puck (Without passing out, vomiting or choking to death)

I bet San Jy
That I could catch a fly
With my little red (purple red?) tongue
Although I’m not quite sure why…

I even bet with my pet hate
He says I can’t get a date
But I’ll show him
I’ll buy one of those things that inflate

I bet my teacher
That I can last an hour in a freezer
Without complaining about the cold
Not my best idea…I fold

I made a bet with my lover
That I couldn’t find another
As beautiful, fun or talented as she
Woot! One ‘bet point’ for me

I know I have a problem
Bet there’s a word called ‘Gonthrothem’
But I bet I’ll get over this one day
In fact, let’s make a wager- I bet you that day ain’t today (Or tomorrow, or anytime in the next month and 27 years)
