Happy Mother's Day

by Jeannette Lopez   Jun 13, 2007

As beautiful the snow is in December
As charming a Prince may be
I couldn't ask for anything better
That for my mom there loving me.

Like a mother bear protecting her cubs
Like an older sister giving advise
You seemed to be there all the time
Sharing truth and never any lies.

A hard working mother paying bills
Giving us what she can
You did a good job raising us
When we didn't have a dad.

You only get recognition once a year
Which is never really enough
To thank you for all you've done
And cherish every hug.

So when that day comes
You can have your way
Because no one else deserves
A more wonderful Mother's Day.
