Smile Through The Rain

by Natalie84   Jun 13, 2007

Rain or sunshine
Night or day
No matter the direction
The wind sways
I will smile today

Sorrow and pain
Will never capture
My bubbly soul
For life's rapture
Has seized me forever

Society's uncertainty
My very own regret
Nothing here on earth
Will ever make me fret
For my joy is set

Death and division
May cost me tears
But I will smile
For the pleasant cheer
While good times were near

Defeat, troubled times
Still I will smile
For I've been granted life
So shine, I will
Until I walk my last mile

Fickle dealings
May cause pain
But I can promise one thing
My smile will remain
As I walk through the rain

Not many people believe in mysmile theory. No matter the problem, no matter how big or small, a smile can go a LONG way. So just SMILE!

YES!! This is another inspiring and powerful write. People don't realize that it takes less muscles to smile than to frown, so come on people turn that frown upside down and smile. It truly doesn't hurt and its not hard to do. I agree with your theory Nat, even when agitated people come to my office, I offer them a smile and by time they leave, they're smiling too!! No matter what goes on in life, I always try to keep a smile on my face anyways..... write on girl and keep on smiling!!
