Hope

Hope. Hope is when everything else runs out, when your back-up plan is gone. Your last resort is used, and every option that you had has disappeared into the black hole of the past. When you're laying there staring at a wall in a little apartment somewhere, with no money left, two frozen pizzas, and your pay check doesn't come for another week. When you're sitting in a hospital looking at your mother on the hospital bed and hearing she has cancer. Hope. It's what keeps you alive, and moving forward. It keeps your heart entact and your dreams from being crushed by the weight of life. Hope is when you wake up and you see the sunlight coming through the window and the storm clouds rolling away. When there is a rose blooming admist rows of poison ivy. When your dog curls up at your feet and gives you one of those reassuring looks that only dogs seem capable of giving. Hope, is what gets you through the day and the night. It is what manages to ward off the storm and the innevitable destruction.

Hope...what will keep us alive in the end.
Hope...what will keep us sane, my friend.
    Hope...what I believe is true.
    Hope...what I'm keeping for you.

I really, really, really liked this (even though it would be easier to read if you separate it some..) Hope comes from the most amazing things.
