What Will it Take My Dearest

by x.Athame.x   Jun 13, 2007

What will it take my dearest
Before we will be able to be free
Free to talk, to say what we want
To call, to laugh, to smile, to cry
What will it take to see you again?
Will it take more tears? I have more.
How about a smile. Maybe I could get one.
Laughter? Almost out, but maybe...
Will it take blood? More blood?
What will it take my dearest
Before I can pick up the phone and call
Not for ten minutes, no, for an hour.
How about an hour and a half. Two?
What about to stay up all night with you.
Watching RENT, laughing, talking, dreaming
What about a hug. What would I have to pay.
My life?
What would it take just to be with you again.
What will it take my dearest?
What will it take.

    Don't give up,
    Don't give me blood,
    Don't work and strive,
    Don't lose your life,
    Don't forget,
    Don't lose your head,
    What will it take?
    You're asking me,
    Just keep on hoping,
    Eternally,
And someday she will start to see
That forever = you and me.
