To Be Heard

by What A Beautiful Lie   Jun 14, 2007

You tell me to be quiet.
You tell me to be bland.
You tell me to speak softly.
Guess what?
I want to scream.
I want to be unique.
I want to be heard.
You tell me to chill out.
You tell me to keep the deepest, darkest secrets in.
I want the opposite.
I want to be on fire.
I want to share my mistakes with the world, so they can learn.
I am going to do what I please.
The smell of success is so very sweet.
