Lies.

by Abby   Jun 14, 2007

Silently I look at you,
Hoping that one day you will look at me too.
Your eyes have such a lovely ambiance,
How I wish you would acknowledge me for once.

As I sit and look at you,
You seem to have knew.
Is it true,
Have you decided to look at me too?

Then I see you turn around,
I could feel my heart begin to pound.
I watch silently,
As your eyes fall on me.

I did not know what to do,
I know next to nothing about you.
Suddenly you shift and rise,
I feel the lump in my throat double in size.

With long strides you come,
I feel my legs going numb.
It seems like you have been walking for a mile,
You stop in front of me and smile.

When I`m sure you have stopped I rise,
Then look into your eyes.
Your smile seems to glow,
As I look at it my heart begins to grow.

I can hear you chuckle,
My knees begin to buckle.
*Can you get out of the way?*
My heart sinks because I realize how you have ruined my day.

*Excuse me.*
I say quietly.
Then I see that you are not willing to play,
Have you lead me astray?

You beautiful eyes,
Have they tucked me into a bed of lies?
It is then that I realize,
You were hiding beneath a guise.

I can feel you push me out of the way,
I dont know what I should say.
Then I see why you have come,
How could I be so dumb?

She`s making you laugh until you shake,
I feel my heart begin to break.
How could I think you would love me too?
How do I compare when she looks new?
