Cold December (Acrostic)

by Bryan   Jun 14, 2007

Cold December, my heart has been longing for,
Old snowy memories, making me hurt even more.
Longing for her touch, the feel of her silky skin,
Dead is my soul, my heart is crushed from within.

Depression takes over, controlling my lonely life,
Every time I think back of how she could be my wife.
Couldn't make her love me, so I sing the sad melody,
Eternally cursed with the thoughts of that memory.
Maybe one day I will forget her, only time will tell,
But the more I try, the more my mind always dwell.
Every time I think its over, my heart then remembers,
Reminding me of that sad day one Cold December.

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title.

Great Acrostic :) Love the title. I have not tried this yet. You make it look so easy. I know how hard the poetry forms are. Excellent job. Imagery and word choices awesome.
    Take care Cindy
