Second Changes

by Sad But True   Jun 14, 2007

The whole world believes in second chances,
There are so many stories about people going through life's dances,
In Hollywood second chances makes for a great story,
We always vote for a dumb bloke's glory.

Life would be wonderful if we could get a second chance,
Second chances are rare, and get screened on Carte Blance,
Its in our nature to believe that we could have another try,
That's what God intended, to love each other till we die.

As Metallica said, SAD but TRUE, so is the human race,
We don't give second chances, we are a disgrace,
Our hearts get broken and we start to hate,
I will not accept this; this will not be my fate.

In order for us to receive compassion from others,
We must take the fist step of faith, and give my brothers,
We can't receive if we are not able to give to one another,
We must cleanse our hearts and free our souls together.

There is a fine line between hope and obsession,
One can take only so much rejection,
There is a fine line between love and hate,
It all depends on one's fate.

I have decided to give her what she needs,
I can go on forever with all my pleads,
In the end she is only the mother of the children I love,
She needs her space; she needs to be free as a dove.

Spread your wings and fly high and away,
It's hard for me, but this time I shall stay,
I have changed my live, like you could not believe,
I had enough I don't like to be deceived.

We have a million things we haven't discussed,
We have left it outside, look what it caused,
Forgive me angel, I know I have sinned,
You are my love, my heart is pinned.

Scars can heal and so can we,
Lets give it time and then have some tea.
