You were the one who knew me,
Knew everything about me.
You knew what you were doing.
Because of you I was a new person.
I was able to see things for what they were.
No longer a naïve girl in a shell of her own.
You opened my eyes without realising it.
I was so much more confident within myself.
You dont know how grateful I was to you.
For everything you done for me.
The confidence you gave me, making me feel loved.
For once I felt that I belonged somewhere; with you.
But thats all in the past now.
Cause like they say all good things come to an end.
But what you dont know is that Im now broken.
Everything you made me feel was undone.
Ive gone back to mistrusting everyone I meet.
Of being paranoid of every single thing.
You were my rock, I relied on you, leaned on you.
When you were gone I fell, and it was a long way down.
So thanks for everything you did for me.
For letting me be the person I wanted for a little while.
And then thanks for undoing it all and breaking me.
Almost as if you were teasing me with the life I knew I could never have.
