Icy Evil Nightmare

by James Bernard Overzet   Jun 14, 2007

Crinkle crinkle, here I come,
Ancient magic, spell undone

Bony fingers scraping skin,
Feed my hunger, let me in.

Feel the pain, and you'll be dead.
Feeding the darkness that lives to be fed.

Trying to capture the beast in the night,
Fighting the torment, the horror the fright.

Scabbing and piercing what once was my head,
Dizzy, and hollow, and flowing with red.

Muscles torn open, and veins on the floor
Crying for solace, but ripping me more.

Blade in the hand, and a slice to my skin,
The brethren are coming, the darkness the kin.

Cackling screams, and a hand on my throat,
Scales, and a devil rise up from the moat.

Rise up from the moat, to finish the deed,
Slithering, archaic, fulfilling thy need.

Blackness and quiet, and certainly dead.
Awoken with covers up over my head.
