Simple Mistake

by brielle   Jun 14, 2007

You sometimes take for granted
That avaliable hug, simple kiss
A squeeze of the hand
And a powerless embrace

Never expecting that appsence to appear
A draining loss of the simplicity
One less touch turns to many gone
And then no more come

When you had it, it seemed nothing
Now it's missing and it's everything
You desire it back
But realize you dont deserve

One haphazardly searches
Desperation seeps through a tear
That mistake is made
In the nececity of its return

Now left with belittled hope
Regret fears to overpower
But it has no more meaning
What had been there left
At the best and worst of times
