Bliss

by Scott Nickel   Jun 15, 2007

The bliss of so dreadful a dream
Brings tears to my world's transgressions.
Yet within mine own heart's gleam
I observe these tumultuous sessions.

That with yearning I'd step from my edge
And Pondering I'd take my steps back.
Then Curiously I'd look from that ledge
Knowing that courage is what I lack.

For we all suffer from this brilliant fault
Our hearts telling such wonderful lies
But whose one everlasting result
Drives our ambitions to their demise

Without action our dreams are lost
Without reason our intellect the same
Everlasting Decadence is the cost
For playing this blissful game...
