Ruined

by Ms Joanna Dark   Jun 15, 2007

Didn't you hear her crying out for you
Screaming so loud until her face was blue
You just left her alone without a care
While others passed her with careless stares
She screamed in vain until she fell
Your leaving let her fall to hell
How does your heart beat so cold
No one will know until the story's told
Tell of the small child you left behind
Afraid that in her, yourself you would find
Demons clawing at a heart barely new
You knew she was cursed the same as you
She'd never believe in a promise of "us"
Because of you she'd never learn trust
A heart hardly beating, barely alive
Never had a chance or a hope to survive
Your choice to dull yourself and go numb
Killed her chance to ever become someone

....please let me know what you think of this one. it's a really important one to me. even if it may not be that good. it'd mean a lot for some feedback on it
