To Grasp A Day Dream

by Krazy   Jun 15, 2007

Started out so innocently
Seeing you from a distance
Day dreaming of tall tales
Hoping beyond grasp of reality

Writing for you
Watching the seashells tumble
Listening to the waves gurgle
wishing you knew how I felt
As I wrote poems of amazement

Tear drops dried on the pieces
Yearning to be next to you
Smiling that priceless smile
Feeling your warmth drift over
And caress my soft skin so delicately

You knew nothing
Oblivious to the obvious
My feelings so apparent
Yet hidden to your honey eyes
Invisible from the start

Knowing you'd never be mine
Writing lines upon lines
Hoping for the daydream
That was out of realities grasp

For it was a simply day dream
Never to come true
And so life went on
With the day dreams
That were beyond realities grasp
