A Thought

by Krazy   Jun 15, 2007

A small thought
never to materialize
to let it grow would be torture
a hope of him is never to grow

summer begins
days come slowly
weeks pass quickly
they sit together
swinging their legs over the cool water
something materializes

family vacation sneaks upon them
to be apart is a slight sting
days grow slower, sting grows sharper
pain grows to tears of loneliness
a hope of together is never to grow

reunited once again
sparks go off like fireworks
she let that hope grow
is he hoping too?

wishing, waiting, wondering
what is to become of this
summer ends, hope fades
school days become long
walks home become daily

never disappearing
the hope has no intention of leaving
those fireworks weren't for nothing
don't let that hope grow...

their eyes met
crystal blue to caramel brown
faces lit by soft moonlight
hands join to ignite a feeling
tonight is the night
beneath the silent stars
that are cheering them on

forever waits in their future
soul mates brought together
the two become one
for marriage is the ultimate goal

This poem had a good story from beginning to end, how it is good, problems come, but with an end of forever. It also reminds me of a past love and almost goes along with everything, including the fireworks.-Which was a good symbol and picture to me. Keep on keepin on.
