Hero of mine (not a true poem)

There is a hero in my life, he walked into my life and became my most treasured friend last year.
he's always there and he is an amazing person... an asset to the world.

He was there for me when my friends weren't.
at the end of the day i can be wearing a smile for no reason other than knowing hes there to talk to, and no matter what he says i know he will be honest when it comes down to it.

I will not reveal this heroes name but some will know instantly who it is. and he is always gonna be my hero the one who can always make me smile and who can remind me of reality when its necessary.

He may not believe he is the hero i see
but to me it matters not what he sees.
i know how i see him and to me thats all that matters.

He can be harsh with words...but its all for the purpose of helping us.
He's not afraid to speak his mind.
No one rules his life except him
no one can pressure him.

he is what a true modern day hero is. and most of all he is the hero i needed and more than that hes one of the best friends you can ever have.
