Last thought of my Mind

by Sad But True   Jun 15, 2007

Our connection angel, stood the test of time,
You complete me darling, but there would be a price to pay,
Our destinies are entwined through love of rhyme,
Our hearts speak and souls connect, will our minds stay?

Life's imperfections, thoughts from our minds slowly fuels our souls corruption,
Corruption poisons the mind, we loose sight of our most important goal,
My darling angel we had a journey of sorrow, we must reach our destination,
I can truly say I love you angel, you complete my soul.

Nobody is perfect; we must admit we both have flaws,
I love your smile, your words and honesty I see whenever I am privileged to gaze into your eyes,
We do fear the hate and pain our actions would cause in breaking societies laws,
We are comfortable denying our needs and living with cruel lies.

I will never force life changing decisions for you on your part,
My affection for you will forever be locked inside, only you have the key,
For I can truly care for you from a distance far, I have peace with that in my heart,
I respect your feelings; I know it will never be just about me.

I do not have a desire to hold unto your soul, I merely need your presence,
Your soul desires freedom it can never be caged, and just like a dove,
Searching for direction high above, finding purpose in all it's essence,
You have a need to come down and rest, and you do need love.

I'm not blinded by desire and I know I'm scarred,
I'm neither a surgeon nor a mender of minds,
Even if my heart gets broken,
I will search no more.

For I have found you to be, pure and kind,
And that my angel is the final thought of my mind.
