Run For Your Life

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Jun 15, 2007

"I love you," you whimpered,
"“Please don't do this!"
Smiling at your agony,
In disgust I hissed.

How could you NOT expect this
After what you had done?
If I were you
I'd say goodbye to the sun.

You won't live past tonight -
You don't deserve to.
I still can't believe
That I once loved you.

But no more -
That part of my life is dead.
And now together we stand,
My gun to your head.

As the stars in the sky
Do a celebratory dance,
I decide I'll give you
One last chance.

But you better run for your life
While you still can.
But first, a final kiss -
Prove you're a man.

I'll let you hide
Alone in the park
But nothing is safe
From me in the dark.

I'll find you
Believe you me.
And I'll hang your lifeless body
For all men to see.

You'll be my example
For all those to come.
They'll know not to screw
With me and my gun.

They will learn
That it'll do no good to cheat,
Because they'll end up
Just like you, my Sweet.
