Acid's Wonderland.

by Phantasmagoria   Jun 15, 2007

Note: It doesn't make much sense, but I didn't really want it to. I guess it just appeals more to the imagination then reality.

I'm going down the wishing well
to find my Wonderland
you can follow, if you like,
if you're unafraid.
Face the brink of in-sanity.
Come now, this trip can't be delayed.
We'll have a little party,
we can drink a little x
and ask the March Hare
where the good heart lies.
He says,
"The only heart that lies here
lies only with the liars."
Your Alice is in the apple
and you're late, you're late,
you're too late
to steal away her bitter fate.
You could ask the Queen to go home, take this memory away,
but the Queen's heart is a spade of jade,
and she's deaf to blind fear.
Everyone's a madman here,
so why don't you join in the fun?
And, in case you still want to leave,
don't worry, by morning you're life will be done.

I loved this! Everything screamed at me and said READ MEEEEE!!!!!

The theme was great - Alice in Wonderland is mega-awesome (In fact, I'm planning on getting a half-sleeve tattoo with an alice in wonderland theme).

The idea behind the poem seemed to be well thought out, and although you say it didn't make sense, it did. I know this, because I, too, write in this manner.

    My favorite line was:

"The only heart that lies here
    lies only with the liars."

    I love assonance, and alliteration.

    Superb, dear, very superb!
