Together

by Jacob   Jun 16, 2007

These hands they bleed though it's not my blood.
These arms they fight though it's not my fight.
My ears they hear a heartbeat thud.
My eyes they see from another's sight.

My mind it thinks though they're not my thoughts.
This tongue it tastes someone else's food.
I smile for I know it's what I've sought.
My emotions change to another mood.

I am who I am and nobody knows,
That I am who I am and it is I who shall grow.
Into the man that will help you travel,
into the dirt, the grass, and of course the gravel.

Deep within us we are all one,
and our power shall be greater than any gun.
Know this now and believe it true.
You are me
And I am you.
