Congratulations

I gained a lot of friends this year
that are heading on there way
growing up, becoming adults
i have learned that they wont always stay.

Every day they make me proud
of who they have become
apart of my is so happy
but a part of me is numb.

They made me such a happy girl
with a look at the future I will have
but now they are leaving me
standing in a big crowd.

School wont be the same
without them in those halls
walking by there lockers
hoping that they will be there in not to long.

Goodbyes are hard but these aren't for good
i will see them every now and then
but it wont be every day i seem them
with a smile on the face.

They are heading off to university
becoming who they dreamed
showing off there skills
as hard as it may be.

Every now and then
I know I will miss them bad
but I will look at how they are doing
and then I know I will be glad.

through this very long year
I hope you know I am proud of you
even though I shed tears.
