Part-time lover

by purplemadness   Jun 17, 2007

She always was too busy to see,
That she is missing the love sent by me.
I never ever could be in love with another,
She doesn't even wanna be my part-time lover.
I guess all the hints I sent are wrong,
But still she's coming on so strong.

I can't prove how much I love her,
This girl, my part-time lover.
I wish I could be with her day and night,
And make everything all right.
But her heart just can't be won,
She doesn't reveal herself to anyone.

For all she knows I am a stranger with an inner flame,
Maybe she doesn't want to play this game.
I am for real, but she doesn't bother,
So I ask you; could I at least be your part-time lover?
Are we involved in a romantic fight?
Where we chase our love into the night?

If she only would come out of that cover,
She could be my full-time lover.
In a loving moment, precious few,
You show me the true you.
You'll be my part-time lover until you see,
The golden path that brings you straight to me.

Baby, you're the queen of my heart,
But trouble winds are blowing hard.
This pain, like I've been burned by the sun,
Oh baby, can't you see what you've done?
Do you dream of me in which our visions kiss?
Tell me, what your definition of a part-time lover is.
