The Angel

I never believed in angels
The ones in the fairy tales
With soft colored wings
And dresses with sparkling stars

Through all the pain
I believed in nothing
You could call it Faithless
Or lack of confidence to seek the truth

I met a girl unlike any other
Her smile contagious
Her intelligence mind-warping
And her power reassuring

Saved my life 4 times
Never complained once
I have real liking for people
Who care for my life more than I do

She's normal like everybody else
Even though she doesn't look like them
God must have sent her down to save my life
And for this I swear she's an angel
