A Change Is Coming

Currently, I'm so confused
I don't know what to believe, or what to do

Tonight I look myself in the mirror
Tonight's the night I recognize my fears

When I look in the mirror
I see a pale face, and eyes full of tears

I've never been skinny; I celebrate with food
I eat when I'm scared, lost, or confused

I celebrate my accomplishments; I acknowledge my fears
I eat when full of self-hate caused by my peers

I'm tired of arrogance, judgment, and pressure
I'm tired of those that make me feel lesser

I'm ready for a change, a revelation
I'm using these words to inspire a nation

Don't try to change; be true to your heart
Because love and your body are never far apart.
