High School Strifes

by Katie   Jun 17, 2007

The way they laugh as I walk by
Makes me feel like I could die
They ignore my existence
I'm not even here
I'm just an insignificant little detail
Such thoughts fuel my despair

My only salvation is you, my best friend
We secretly laugh at what they do
You help me get past it all in the end
They think we know nothing and that's not true
We'll be the best, we'll surpass them all
I'd rather let them live their petty High School Lives
We'll then have our fun, we'll have a ball
While they act like a good grade is a terrible strife

Who cares if we don't drink, or if we don't get high?
We like it that way!
We prove to ourselves that we can think
And that knowledge will stay
We'll go to college and be the best
There they want our opinion
And they don't care about the size of our chest
We'll stand up for what we believe in
Then we'll be free
If not from the world,
At least from High School Society
