So young, so foolish, so full of dreams,
Everything looks like it seems.
She smiles, she glows, in her brand new heals,
She looks as good, as how she feels.
The world is new, she has places to go,
She wants to learn, she wants to know.
The mysteries of life, the pleasure of success,
She will use the power, that she posses.
An amazingly talented actress inside,
She'll show the world, nothing to hide.
A star perhaps, on the walk of fame,
She'll never change, she'll be the same.
Days go by, the work flows on,
And before she knows it, years are gone.
She's getting older, the looks will fade,
And she can't live off the money she made.
She gets a job, as a struggling waitress,
Sliding between tables, in a pinkish dress.
She's wearing heals, but without the pride,
And wears the make up, hide the tears she cried.
She goes to auditions, but without luck,
She's beginning to think, acting suck.
The lines on her face, should not exist,
She must look like someone, you can't resist.
The days continue, she's getting tired,
She figured she doesn't have the things required.
She retires tired, with a low amount,
The money she has, she tries to count.
No, there's not enough for a life,
And she doesn't have the security of a trophy wife.
She doesn't have a man, she lost all her friends,
She's all alone, this is how it ends.
She looks in the mirror, sees a mistake,
she wasted her life, she's finally awake.
She sits down in her chair, and the smiles steams,
She's pleased with her life, cause she followed her dreams.
