As I walked along the windy shore
I felt your presence drawing near to me
It thrilled me to the core

A sense of love and warmth entered
and made it's way through my spine

Soon your spirit took complete control of me
made me feel loved and cherished and divine

How strange to share these feelings with a ghost
but maybe that's just it: the things we can't have
are the things we want most

Well written Ingrid a rather melancholy poem, and so true as well sometimes it seems the harder we try the more difficult it is to get what we want

I love how your poem started off describing a relationship and a person that made you feel a certain way than you twisted it to be a ghost or spirit and you were right to say what we desire is not what we can have
