Fathers Day - - Once a year.

by ASPHYXIATED   Jun 18, 2007

Once a year your day would come,
And I would play the role of daughter,
A fake smile I would so gladly wear,
As you pretended to be the greatest father.

Once a year the wounds would heal,
And your mistakes were all forgiven,
A day were memories were all dead,
And we focused only on the living.

They said love has no boundaries,
That it is unconditional and true,
Once a year your day would come,
And I would get true love from you.

[Not my best.]
