Take This For What It's Worth

by hippiehxc   Jun 18, 2007

Go ahead, lead me on.
That's all you've ever done for the past year and a half.
You let your arrogant ways take over that cute little head of yours.
Poor, poor child. I'm sorry that I was right.
Didn't I tell you that your pretty little princess of a girlfriend would decieve you? I recall it.
Sweetheart, I've warned you so many times.
I'm always the one that is undeniably there for you.
But once again, your arrogant ways took over.
You don't even have one ounce of decency left in your body to give me a chance.
You've turned me into an apathetic mess; and you don't even bother saying you're sorry.
Oh, I'm mistaken.
Saying those words would only blow your ego.
Hmm. What a precious thing to have destroyed.
But how do you think this will look on your permanent record?
So take this for what it's worth.
I loved you.
Past tense is a wonderful thing.
