It lasted minutes but seemed like forever....

I stroll in the house with a smell of very sexy,
My hair was straight and my clothes real fancy.

I walked down the stairs that were oh so familiar,
And there he was an unknown figure.

As I walked down the stairs and my heart dropped,
He looked at me and my feet suddenly stopped.

I then smiled and walked over to him,
His head dropped and the lights were dim.

I said hello as I walked right by,
he said nothing and my heart asked why.

Then he looked up with his beautiful brown eyes,
Hi how are you are his replies.

He asked my name and I the same in return,
He smiled so great and my heart started to yearn.

I then walked over to my friend I'd known for years,
And asked if she'd known that man and he over hears.

She says yes he's my long distant cousin,
As my mouth drops open and my legs start to weaken.

She asks why I ask and I tell her its nothing,
I can see it in her eyes that she knows I'm bluffing.

He walked over to me and asked to hang out,
I asked for a minute and with my friend I freaked out.

I asked what to do and she said to say yes,
I said okay and hoped my hair wasn't a mess.

I walked over to him and asked him where to,
He said anywhere you want just as long as its me and you.

I smiled so hard my cheeks started hurt,
As we walked up the stairs and we started to flirt.

I wondered if this was all a dream,
Or was I awake and this what it seemed.

We walked over to his car and he opened the door,
And we drove to the beach and walked onshore.

He told me his interests and I the same,
And i hoped this was love and not just a game.

The night was ending and he drove me home,
And we laughed one last time about our dreams of going to Rome.

I told him goodnight and leaned in and kissed his cheek,
Then he grasped my arm and kissed my lips as i rose to my feet.

It lasted minutes but seemed like forever,
And as it ended all i could think was what a great kisser.
