When I Reminisce

by Richard Machado   Jun 18, 2007

Every moment,
All day,
Everyday,
Sit home and lay.

Five days a week,
No longer so weak,
Now able to speak.
Once at three forty four.

I dont think about her anymore.
Theres nothing to think of;
But, how I hit the floor, bounced up,
Then, flapped back down.

But, how I ran out of town
When difficulty was seen.
Didn't know love was a state of being.
But, now I'm leaving my past behind:

Driving blind;
Trying to keep what Ive lost
Out of my mind.
Trying to be kind;

But, I want to explode.
Look at my spirit, look how it growd:
All deformed, that's the norm.
Always a storm,

Black clouds follow me round.
Listening, but I dont make a sound.
I whisper what I want:
Dont know what I need.

I chew when I bleed
And, cry when I feed.
Please show me love,
Plant the seeds.

Sall I want,
I think I need; please
Remove the memories.
My bloods a freeze;

Locked, my knees.
Tenderness when I reminisce.
I dont know how we lost
But, I remember this:

What I lost, I miss;
Long lost, your kiss;
I still miss you Ms..
When I Reminisce.
