Captain Nemo

by Felicia   Jun 18, 2007

Haunted eyes
hide behind walls
of secrecy
There is no hope
Doomed for eternity
of wandering alone
in a barren landscape
Dreams are burst by throns
Those words you spoke
To me, the ones you
hoped would never reach
my ears, punctured my
spleen, for to wound my
already broken heart,
would be futile.
Darkness taking over
Light causes me to cringe
The path i take, is laden with
throns, nettles and poison ivy
Drawn to the forrest, like a
child to sweets.
The future, i could sense,
was grim.
As i entered the massive black
abyss, i surmised that i wouldn't
come out alive.
[i kept on walking. Never once
looking back.]
