Peering out
From this fogged glass window
Dark and cold
I'm squinting to see
A way out
A way from behind
These bars that obtain
My freedom to laugh
To love
To smile
To cry
To do anything
As my quivering finger
Wipes away the dew
A small circle is clear
Where my dark eyes can see
A tall figure just waiting
Reaching out a hand
