Tequila Loves Me

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Jun 19, 2007

My eyes are getting heavy; been driving this road for miles,
And I promised myself I'd choke back my tears with the fake smiles,
So I'll pull up here and stop; spend the night in this cheap motel;
I know this lonely room won't do me good; but it'll do me well.

And I'll draw back the curtains; so I don't think of you,
I'll drink away the pain seen in my eyes of blue,
Line up the shot glasses; grab the lime and salt,
I know it's childish; but Baby, it's all your fault.

I'll put in a mixed tape of our songs from summer of '99,
And pretend for the last time that you're still mine,
You said she was the one for you; it was over with me,
Turned your back and asked me to just let you be.

But now that you got your ignorant wish; I bet you're lonely,
And I bet when you lay down in that empty bed you think of me,
After all; it's the only place that you ever thought of me before,
And it may be sick; but Sweetie, I enjoyed being your wh0re.

So tonight with Mr. Jose Cuervo and these sappy movies,
I'll get lost in my thoughts and throw away the memories,
And through eyes blurred from the liquor; I can see,
If there's one thing I know; it's that tequila loves me.
