Experimental poem

Eyes of a soldier- WWII

bombs in my eyes
watching all my comrades die
bodies blown to pieces
tanks and planes
parade through the streets
knocking out buildings
leaving rubble in its place

cities
turned to a bloody dance
of bullets and fire

sparks fly
off the helmets
of the dead
the stench
to much to bare
flesh on all the bodies
rotting
starting to tear

disease in the air
along with
all the different smells
gas pouring through the air

machine guns burst
making people
look there worst
completely tore up
by these new guns

bodies laid
every where on the ground
like the rubble that surrounds
as another bomb drops
right on top
of the camp

when will this end
will we find
the answer to
winning this war
or will it just continue
for ever more
