When the Music Stops*

by Anthony   Jun 19, 2007

When the music stops
Nothing is left, humanity is gone.

You see music is life,
silence is death.

Music is all around us,
in the radio we play,
in the children playing down the street.

Music is infinite.
Music is all that we live for.

When the music ends life is gone.
The unheard sound is the sound of death.

The souls dying
Brings the end of music.

*Note: I wrote this for my sister. For about a week she had a poetry assignment where she had to write so many poems for class, so she asked me to write a poem for her because she couldn't do it! So she told me what she wanted and I wrote, but then when I showed her she said "It doesn't sound like anything that I'd write!" so I said fine your on your own then*

Wow, this piece is so powerful!
It is very deep, and unique, with very interesting topic.
    My favorite lines are:

    silence is death.-

Being the huge music obsessive that I am, I adored this poem. It's always nice to read a poem singing music's praise. Very nice indeed. I agreed with everything, too. Music is life. Music makes the world go round. xD

You know, just the other day, I was thinking about how amazing music is. I tried to picture a life a wonderful as this one without music.. and I couldn't. You are right, music is life. Music can capture any emotion, and you capture its importance bluntly and simply. Wonderful.

I love it.... life without music, is like a body without a soul.
