Strip Me Clean

by Richard Machado   Jun 19, 2007

Do you hide your fears:
Hide behind your marble piers
Of blood and tears?

Hopelessness: all too much;
Run a muck; Feel youre stuck?

Are you hanging from a strand?
Your essence the price, stripping
You bland.

Spiraling down, always a frown
Hoping to stand? For strength to
Hold your hand?

How can I help? Im empty;
You see, Im not even me.
So, how can I help you to be,
What is long gone from me?

I guess, you and me, can be.
So, jump on my back. Just
Strap on that strap; so, wrap
On my trap.

Just bleed me clean. Dont
Mind, if I lean: slip into dream.
So, fade, a scene from my life
Serine.

Oh, how green, this dream, of
Evergreen: forever green;
Forever dream.
